IEEE Annual Election
The voting membership of IEEE annually elects officers that serve on the top-tier IEEE governing bodies.
The IEEE Annual Election balloting starts on 15 August 2025 and ends at 12:00 noon ET (17:00 UTC-04) on 1 October 2025.
2026 IEEE President-Elect Candidates
The IEEE Board of Directors nominated Jill I. Gostin and David Alan Koehler for 2026 IEEE President-Elect at its 2024 November meeting.
2025 Offices Up For Election
The 2025 IEEE Annual Election starts on 15 August 2025 and ends on 1 October 2025 at 12:00 noon ET/17:00 UTC-05. The election offices on the 2025 IEEE Annual Election ballot are:
- IEEE President-Elect
- IEEE Standards Association President-Elect
- IEEE-USA President-Elect
- IEEE Technical Activities Vice President-Elect
- IEEE Division Delegate-Elect/Director-Elect for Divisions II, IV, VI, VIII, and X
- IEEE Region Delegate-Elect/Director-Elect for Regions 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11
- IEEE Standards Association Board of Governors Members-at-Large
- IEEE Women in Engineering Committee Chair-Elect
IEEE Annual Election Petition Process
Petition Deadlines:
- Petition intention for IEEE President-Elect office ended on 31 December 2024 at 12:00 noon ET/17:00 (UTC-05).
- Last day for receipt of petition signatures for IEEE President-Elect office was 11 April 2025 at 12:00 noon ET/16:00 (UTC-04).
- Members who want to petition need to submit their petition intention to the IEEE Board of Directors to elections@ieee.org by 15 April 2025.
- Last day for receipt of petition signatures for all other office positions is 9 May 2025 at 12:00 noon ET/16:00 (UTC-04).

Update member profile by 31 March 2025
Effective with the 2025 IEEE Annual Election, ballots will be created for eligible voting members on record as of 31 March. Members are encouraged to review and update their contact information and communication preferences by 31 March.
