IEEE Accessibility Research Hub
IEEE Xplore® strives to provide the best possible experience for all users. IEEE Xplore's accessibility efforts are informed by Section 508 of the United States Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) Level AA from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We are working toward compliance with the latest version of WCAG (2.2).
But IEEE Xplore isn’t just a place to enjoy an accessible web browsing experience. IEEE Xplore has pulled together critical research that impacts the advancement of assistive technology. The IEEE Accessibility Research hub aggregates accessibility-related content from IEEE publications, conferences, and standards to keep visitors up to date on the latest breakthroughs in accessibility. The hub also highlights authors who are researching assistive technologies to make a difference in this space.

IEEE's highly cited scholarly publications, conference proceedings, and other materials help foster the exchange of technical knowledge and information related to accessibility. The IEEE Humanitarian Technologies Board (HTB) has established the IEEE HTB & SIGHT Taenzer Grant Program which focuses on empowering technologists around the globe to advance assistive technologies and technological solutions for persons with disabilities and their communities and supporting engineers in low-resource countries.
